All Used Up II

I just went through all of my products and makeup and cleared house (the kind that can fill a large garbage bag). I got rid of a lot of old products but if I had made a blogpost about that it would have been more of a book. These are some of the products I have used up recently or finally gotten rid of that were worth talking about individually.  This is more of a cleansing post than a favorites post beware.

If you're interested to see what products I've finished up or given up on keep reading!
1. Kerastase Resistance Reinforcing and refinishing treatment

I actually got this first product by accident, I had sent my sister to pick it up and she bought the wrong thing.  I have had this for a while in my shower simply because I didn't really reach for it.  I started reaching for it more recently when I had my hair lightened to bring it back to a healthier state. This is supposed to be used in the shower to help damaged hair.  I would mix this with my conditioner and add it from my scalp to the ends of my hair.  My hair started having a better texture while I was using this product.  I may repurchase it in the future but I have a lot of other products to go through first.

Verdict: Maybe Repurchase

2. Revlon Nearly Naked foundation in Shell

I was using this foundation a lot in the month of July.  I had started using it on days I was going to the beach or if I was running somewhere quickly rather than using a more expensive foundation.  This foundation actually has a really pretty finish and great coverage.  I began reaching for it always because it was easy to apply and blend.  It held up pretty well though out the day as well which is impressive considering I was wearing it to the beach.  It was a little dark for me so I would definitely only use this color in the summer and it is something I would repurchase in the future.

Verdict: Will Repurchase

3. Bioderma

The internet/youtube made me do it.  As you can see in this picture the bottle is only about half used and I've had this for a long time.  I do not really understand the hype about this product.  I hardly ever reached for it and since I wasn't using it I have decided to get rid of it.  I didn't think it removed my makeup that well and it would irritate my eyes.  I have other Micellar cleansing waters that I like much better so I will not be repurchasing Bioderma.

Verdict: Not Repurchasing

4. Lush Dream Cream

I did like this cream but I was not crazy about the smell.  When I bought this I was hoping it would decrease the redness in my arms and it didn't.  It was very moisturizing but a little to thick for me.  I would suggest only using this at night before bed if you are going to use it.  I most likely will not repurchase this product, it was nice but there are creams that I like better.

Verdict: Not Repurchasing

5. Living Proof Straight

Fair warning, it is best to spray this and either hold your breath or move away from where you sprayed it.  I use this product every time that I use heat on my hair and I love it.  Besides the cloud you are left in post spray it is a really good product.  It protects my hair but doesn't leave a film on it and (when you aren't inhaling it in a big gulp) I actually like the smell.  My hair feels clean when I use this and I like that it is aerosol instead of a spray bottle.  It is slightly expensive though it took me months to go through the bottle and I straighten my hair quite often plus I would also use it before blow-drying my hair.  I have already repurchased the product and the packaging is actually different now - it is in an all black bottle.

Verdict: Repurchased

6. Kerastase Sensidote Dermo-Calm

YES. I have trouble with my scalp getting really dry sometimes.  It is super sensitive and can be painful so I was trying to find a product that would help calm it down.  This masque and the shampoo are awesome if you have trouble with a dry and painfully sensitive scalp.  This product you actually massage into your scalp, I use a different conditioner on the ends of my hair.  My scalp wasn't greasy after and it would be as irritated when I used this plus the hair close to my roots felt really soft.  I am definitely going to repurchase this product.

Verdict: Repurchasing

7. (The brand wore off) Hair Mask

I do not remember the brand of this hair mask but I do remember it was quite pricey.  It was not my favorite hair mask, I like the macadamia nut one much better and it is much cheaper.  My hair didn't feel a lot softer after using this and I just don't think it was worth the money. I had this almost as long as the bioderma because I kept getting other products to use instead.

Verdict: Not Repurchasing

8. Burt's Bees Acne Spot Treatment

I didn't use a lot of this product and I wasn't a huge fan.  It feels strange when applied - sticky and then dried/tight, it is hard to describe.  I didn't notice a huge difference when I used it to spot treat some acne.  I'm not sure it worked for me so I got rid of it.

Verdict: Not Repurchasing

9. MAC Mineralized Loose Finishing Powder

This was a limited edition product that felt cool/wet when you first applied it though it was a powder. I used it for a while because it had a cooling effect so it was nice on hot days. There was a lot of sparkle in this powder and it started smelling strange plus it was decently pigmented so it was noticeable where it was applied.  I don't think I would repurchase it if it was available.

Verdict: Not Repurchasing

10. L'Oreal Infallible Foundation

I tried using this product because I did like the wear of it however you do have to work to blend it and it can look patchy/streaky so be careful.  I mainly didn't like this product because of the dispenser.  It was constantly blocked up with product so when you pushed down the foundation would get everywhere.  Other than the packaging, if you are willing to work with it and take the time to make sure you are all blended out, this foundation does offer full coverage.  I would probably purchase it again if they fixed the packaging issue.

Verdict: Maybe Repurchase

11. MAC Tranquil Cleanse Off Oil

The oil is good at removing makeup.  It didn't break me out and I used it as a replacement for my face wash since I was being lazy.  You may need to go back over your eyes just to get rid of some excess residue of mascara but I do really like this product.  When I finish some of my face washes and make up removers I will probably repurchase it but I'm interested in trying the one that isn't the tranquil.

Verdict: Repurchase

12. & 13. MAC Painpot in Painterly and Rubenesque

Painpots are a staple for me, I use them as the base almost always for my eyeshadow.  I like Painterly because it is almost the same color as my skin tone and can go under anything.  I like Rubenesque because of the coloring - I mainly wore it on its' own but it also worked well under most colors of eyeshadow.  I have already repurchased painterly and will probably repurchase rubenesque eventually.

Verdict: Repurchase

Let me know if you have any suggestions of products similar to these that I should try and if you have used any of these products what did you think?
This is just my personal opinion and what doesn't work for me may work for a ton of other people.
