I love seeing reviews on products that people used up because I feel like when you completely use up a product is when you are able to get the best review. Some products start out well and then after a month of use are no good or make you break out but early reviews would be like "oh my goodness this is soooo amazing everyone needs it!" Reality, nope not all that great when you kept using it.
I typically just throw away my empty products but I thought it would make a good blog post so these are the products I've finished in the last two weeks. (Side note: isn't it the worst when everything you use runs out at the same time? Its convenient cause you only need to make one big trip to get all your replacements but lets be honest, it is not always possible to get your replacement right when your old stuff runs out.)
Want to see what I thought of my most recently used up products? Keep reading!
The first group of products are : Oribe Royal Blowout, Victoria's Secret Self Tan, Eucerin Skin Calming Creme, Origins GinZing, and L'Oreal's Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation.
ORIBE Royal Blowout Heat Styling Spray: Now before I begin, this is an expensive hair product. When I get my hair done, this is the product my stylist uses before she blow drys my hair. I really like this product and I kind of wish that I didn't because of the price (it's $59.00). It has actually lasted me a very long time so if you think of price in terms of how long it will last you, it is not that bad. It also smells AMAZING! I love the scent of Oribe products however if you don't like scents this probably is not the product for you. The spray itself is very light weight, you can use a ton and your hair will not feel greasy or heavy (you do not need to use a ton), and it is so important to protect you hair when you use heat. I find a lot of heat protectants leave a film or make your hair sticky and this does neither which is what I like most about it because I love that my hair is protected and that I don't feel like I need to wash it the next day because of product build up. I plan to repurchase this spray.
Victoria's Secret Self Tan: I've said this before, I have very fair skin and very sensitive skin. This tanner does not have too strong of a smell, and it gives you a hint of color when you apply it but then it gives such a nice tan after it develops. You can also build it up by applying more than one layer, so apply one and let it dry then apply another and you still won't be oompa loompa orange. This is one of, if not my favorite self tanner for my body because it does give you color right away and if you apply it at night, the next morning it is full color. This is my third bottle and I will keep buying it unless I find something better.
Eucerin Skin Calming Daily Moisturizing Creme: I have very sensitive skin and have allergic hive/rash reactions and this cream helps to calm them. Its moisturizing and has helped with my red splotchy itchy patches that sometimes pop up and doesn't cause my skin to react when its not inflamed. I already have another bottle.
Origins GinZing: I already have a full blog post about this product comparing it to another face cream I use. It is moisturizing but not enough for me and causes me to get red after I apply it. It doesn't work well with my sensitive skin so I will not be repurchasing it, I was simply trying to finish the pot because of the cost.
L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder: I have seen a lot of negative reviews about this product but I actually really like it (my mother recommended it to me). I feel like when it dries as a powder it gives an airbrushed look and I don't find that it concentrates on dry spots. It is a light coverage but it still gives me plenty and I typically use concealer in addition to any foundation I use. I have already repurchased this foundation (I use shade 312 classic ivory).
And group two: Dove Advanced Care Deodorant, Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara, MAC Turquatic Perfume, MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural
Dove Advanced Care Deodorant: This is actually my new one (I had the cool essentials last time). I think I have reactions to the Secret Deodorant which makes me really itchy and I don't have that when I use Dove. This is the rebalance one, I'm not sure if it is rebalancing but I really like the scent and it lasts, even after hot yoga I can smell the scent of the deodorant which I think is pretty impressive. Obviously I have already repurchased.
Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara: Not going to lie this is a youtube made me do it purchase but I do really like this mascara. It was my everyday mascara, it lengthens and separates my lashes perfectly. I would also use this as the first layer to separate and then use a more volumizing mascara over it when I wanted more oomph but overall I really did like this mascara. I think I will eventually repurchase it however I have a few mascaras I need to work through first plus I like trying new ones so we will see.
MAC Turquatic Perfume: I love this perfume, I wear it almost everyday. I get so many compliments on how good it smells and people always notice when I'm wearing it (it has been dubbed my scent). It smells clean which I like, its a summery and fresh scent that isn't too sweet. I have already repurchased it and am on my third bottle.
MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural: I love this powder. I use it always and there are days when I use concealer and swipe on the powder and I am all good to go. I also will apply it over my foundation and help blend everything out. I have used this powder for the last 6 or 7 years and I couldn't even tell you how many I have gone through (I use the shade light). I have already repurchased it (if you saw my previous haul) and am in love with the new packaging because honestly that was the only dislike I had before.
That is it for my review of my most recent empties, sorry this post is so long but hopefully it is helpful! Let me know if I should do more of these in the future.
